That axe is imo one of the most satisfying melee weapons to use, clears the chaff in one swipe and handles hordes and specials. I switched out the bolter for the flamer since axe makes good work of armoured specials and the flamer is really good for gaining control of situation, especially ones that have gone bad, which is very handy in damnation. It's probably the best all around weapon for any class. I use it on my Psyker often, since they can block attacks by generating peril instead of using stamina. So they can use that saved stamina for constant push attacks, which are even better with brutal momentum.
